Quote of the day...

Headline We'd Like to See: "Bush Still an Idiot"

"The White House has said it doesn't pay attention to poll numbers and the figures do not affect policy.

"We have a proud record of accomplishment and a positive agenda for the future," White House spokesman Scott McClellan told reporters Wednesday. "We look forward to continuing to talk about it. I mean, you can get caught up in polls; we don't. Polls are snapshots in time."

...er yeah, and you remember those flip books we had as kids? When you flip through a series of 'snapshots', you can see the downward spiral of your party in motion, Scott. :)

  1. On the flip side, there's a clear track record of Bill Clinton's presidency being ruled by the polls. Anytime his presidency tried a course of action and his poll numbers dipped, he backed off an issue or found a way to bring them back up.

In other words....as Dumbeldore says in the latest Harry Potter movie, you must choose to do either what is right or what is easy....

Ok I will elaborate. At my job, I'm popular with more people then anyone else, because I'm nice, easygoing and I try and do more for people. Some of the customers are now trying to take advantage of my niceness. I can either try and keep my popularity and let them do what they want, or I can do what is best for my job and enforce our rules.

  2. Odd that both Bush and Clinton have won second terms....with completely opposite PR strategies.

Man, if I did what was easy, I don't think I'd get out of bed and head to work on the morning. Just go panhandle down in Fells Point. I hear there's good money in it. :)
